Classical musician seeks soulmate

Well educated man who works as a teacher and professional classical musician. Interests are in classical music, both playing and listening to most things from 1700 to the present day, theatre, galleries, exhibitions, travel, gardening, history and science. I listen to Radio, paricularly Radio 3 and 4 and the World Service. Very rarely I might look at the TV for a few seconds but not necessarily turn it on. I read Private Eye, New Scientist and occasionally The Economist. My humour is sponteaneous and dry, essentially wit. I enjoy keeping myself informed about what happens elsewhere in the world and I would describe myself as apolitical. I have travelled widely and have worked in several different countries so being culturally aware of different places and peoples is important to me. I value integrity and honesty in particular. I have mild high functioning autism and no regrets about it. It has made my career possible. I work between Cambridge and London.

I have no interest in football, pop music, drinking beer, noisy pubs, tabloid newspapers or anything that might be deemed popular culture. I truly couldn't give a toss what is on television.

I also have no time for or truck with religion.

Looking For

Must haveIntelligence, Humor, Sensitivity, Wit, Thoughtfulness
Look for in a partnerSomeone who understands there is more to life than just sitting in front of a TV and going out to work. Your attitude and personality are the most important things. I value honesty and sincerity above all. Don't say something you don't mean or intend to do. Be realistic and objective to get the most out of life.
On the first dateThat depends entirely on the shared interests we have. No point planning something in advance if the other person in the end would rather do something different.
